Warm Front seen in Shawnigan lake
A warm front, most clearly seen at Discovery Elementary in Shawnigan Lake and at Port Renfrew Elementary School, was recently observed on our network. The temperature rose approximately 6°C at these locations in 45 minutes. The sites are 56.2 km apart and the peak temperature was reached 53 minutes later at Shawnigan Lake than at Port Renfrew. The air mass was moving a bit faster than 60 km/hr between these sites.
